If you're really undecided where to spend your next skiing holidays you wouldn't regret it if you consider the US. Alta Among the skiers, Alta in Utah has reached a cult-like popularity. It's a little over half an hour's trip from the Salt Lake City airport, making it more accessible for people with limited time. Alta is known for its incomparable intermediate slopes, making it a choice for professionals and beginners alike. California California has countless breathtakingly beautiful areas for skiing professionals and enthusiasts. This is particularly true for the area intersected by the California-Nevada border. Historical notes say that Harriman's purpose for creating this resort was to attract passengers during winter, to keep his business profitable. Taos, New Mexico An out of the ordinary mixture from different cultures makes this ski resort the destination of choice for those who are looking for something different from the myriad of snow-covered ski places in the US. Your skiing holidays will definitely have fun a twist in this place. It offers a good number of steep slopes and also easy slopes for those who are just starting to ski. Ernie Blake, a former interrogator for Allied Intelligence during WWII, was considered as the creator of this fantastic ski resort. He reportedly invited the well known Mayer bothers to help in running the ski school.
